The View From The Other Side - What Is The Role Of Religion On Social Issues?

The View From The Other Side - What Is The Role Of Religion On Social Issues?Because of recent controversies, articles and books are now being written on the subject of religious influences on society, including sex and sexuality. Some people see this as an important part of social issues, others see it as a fact that social problems can be solved through religion. When dealing with social issues, many people tend to focus on what is right and wrong. They look at the religious perspective, but they often forget that many of these issues have been around for centuries. For example, abortion is a very controversial social issue, yet it has been a practice for thousands of years, at least in certain parts of the world. In fact, it has a strong point of view. It is important to be against an idea or a belief, but it is wrong to condemn an entire society because of that opinion. It's good to be against people who get abortions, but it's also good to be able to call the people who do abortio ns criminals.I have a friend who believes that the criminals are the ones to blame. I was at a party recently and my friends started talking about how terrible it is to arrest so many abortions and how terrible it is that they will not go to jail. I really did not agree with that, but I was unable to say anything, because one of my friends was in jail, serving a one-year sentence for a failed abortion. There are many reasons people believe these views. For example, the ideology that some people are born without God-given rights and must be tortured to die has a strong point of view. So if the majority of the population accepts these views, then it stands to reason that the minority, which is the unfortunate and undeserving ones, will get away with their evil deeds. These views often lead to a political split, as when people start to feel threatened by the other people, particularly homosexuals and other minorities, who have recently started to be openly gay in their society. Often tim es these people get elected to office based on their views and beliefs, thus making a huge impact on society.I find it interesting that even though social issues such as abortion and homosexuality are very difficult to deal with, the result can be a huge effect on society, which can affect everyone. I find that many people these days tend to support the status quo or those who are thought to be having a problem, rather than stand up for the moral issues that are affecting society.
